Legacy Heart Pine Flooring

Red Hills Lumber Legacy heart pine comes from the same high-quality trees as our Select, and has the same 80-100% heart content, but is taken from the upper logs in the tree, showing knots of varying sizes for great character.  Like the Select, it is a blend of flatsawn and quartersawn (vertical grain).

• Standard widths for Legacy: 2-1/4", 3-1/4", 5-1/4", 7-1/4", and 9 1/4"
• Standard lengths: nominal 8' and 12' (actually slightly longer)
• Standard thickness: 3/4"
• Boards can be custom cut and milled
• Milled wood is sold by the square foot, priced by actual surface area
• Milled flooring is center match tongue and groove
• Boards have rough ends, but are overlength to allow squaring to 8' and 12'
• Kiln dried to 6-9% moisture content
• Can be either nailed to a subfloor or glued to concrete
